Each month will include time for a number of different types of vocal performance. Each month may or may not include: sing-alongs of our favorites; solo presentations of poetry, song, or story; experimenting with harmony through rounds or part songs; an opportunity to debut new works, with or without requesting constructive feedback; Bardic Circle styles like pick, pass, or play; or any other ideas we come up with! Each month will also have time set aside for a new bardic challenge, announced the month before as well as via the Nordskogen E-list and Crystal Quill.

December challenge:

"Awards and Orders"

As a new Kingdom, Northshield now possesses a new awards structure. I believe that the populace could use a bit of assistance understanding what each award is about.

Choose any current Northshield award or order, and compose a song, story, or poem that explains something about it, either what place it fills in the Society, or the award name from a historical perspective, or a piece to honor a recipient, that also leaves us with a better understanding of the award. Directions:

 Take your best route to I-35W in Bloomington.
 Take the 98th St exit, and take a right (west).
 Continue west until you cross Normandale Blvd.
 Take your first left after Normandale, onto Briar Rd.
 Take a left at the T in the road.
 Take your first right into the Tealwood Apts parking lot.  We are in the
 first building on the right, 9900 Briar Rd.  There is extra parking
 available across the street, near the Park Nicollet medical center.
 The front door will be locked, as it is after business hours, so please
 come around the building to the left (south) to find the back door, (by
 the pool).
